5- HTP Clinical Studies

Study #1

“...those who supplemented with 5-HTP were able to reduce carbohydrate intake, which contributed to significant weight loss... a noticeable suppression of appetite was accomplished, thereby providing a feeling of satiety.”

Study #2

“All these findings suggest that 5HTP-Nat Exts may be safely used to treat the problem of appetite control in overweight women during a weight loss program.”

[M. Rondanelli et al, Satiety and amino-acid profile in overweight women after a new treatment using a natural plant extract sublingual spray formulation, International Journal of Obesity, October 2009, (10):1174-82]

Study #3

“Significant weight loss was observed in 5-HTP-treated patients during both periods. A reduction in carbohydrate intake and a consistent presence of early satiety were also found. These findings together with the good tolerance observed suggest that 5-HTP may be safely used to treat obesity.”
